Like many others, I was born at an early age. From the start, people had a difficult time understanding what I said, but that didn’t keep them from nodding their heads and smiling at me. Not much has changed.
I studied music at the Munich Conservatory of Art in Germany, and at Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of New Mexico. Not long afterwards, LORD label in Germany released my first vinyl album. Sadly, the starving artist had to get a job, and it was years later that I released a second project under Tate label in Oklahoma. I wrote the lyrics and music for both projects.
In between these projects, I did my best to run far away from God. Instead of conquering the world, I lost my home, family, income, and laughter. This loss turned into the greatest gain. I knew I needed a new beginning, and God, in His Ridiculous Mercy, opened my eyes to see that Jesus did the one thing I could never do. Through His blood, I am today in right standing before God.
I am drawn to the church, the Bride of Christ, both in the pew and outside the steeple. The Bible does not make the ‘heroes’ out to be superstars. In fact, they were as flawed as we are. God still used them.
That is what I write about now. A curriculum incorporating workbooks based on individuals from the Bible such as Abraham, Isaac, Naaman, Ruth, Peter, and more. God does not expect us to be perfect. We can still be road signs for His Kingdom anywhere we go.
God has replaced my love for music with a love to share with congregations that He still uses broken lives. His Ridiculous Mercy reached my broken life and gave me a life worth living. None of us are special. He will do the same for you.
